A former journalist and press secretary, Nancy Lesic brings considerable experience in media relations, crisis communications and issues management. Her extensive work in the Cleveland area has resulted in strong relationships with public officials, business leaders and the media.
Nancy has established a strong rapport with all sectors of the Greater Cleveland community and is often involved in activities targeted at raising public awareness, building community support and working to build mutually-beneficial relationships on behalf of her clients.
Since forming Lesic & Camper, which has offices in Cleveland and Columbus, she has worked on a host of highly visible real estate development projects in Northeast Ohio.
Since 2005, she has led communications and marketing on the $275 million redevelopment of the Flats East Bank in downtown Cleveland. The Cleveland Browns recently retained Nancy to help them with public and government relations for a mixed-use development plan around the stadium. She also serves as communications counsel to American Greetings in relation to the Fortune 1000 company’s new world headquarters.
Other current clients include the Greater Cleveland Partnership, Charter One, Cleveland International Fund and Optima Ventures.
She previously led communications for the successful effort to bring the Medical Mart/Convention Center to Cleveland at a time it faced a referendum. She previously was involved with the effort to expand Cleveland Hopkins Airport and the development of Steelyard Commons. She directed public engagement and public outreach for Connecting Cleveland, the lakefront planning effort led by the City of Cleveland and the former Cleveland Tomorrow.
Nancy opened her public affairs agency in 2002. Prior to that, she opened and managed the Northeast Ohio office of a Columbus-based public relations firm.
From 1994 to 2000, Nancy served as press secretary to Cleveland Mayor Michael R. White, working extensively with local and national media. During that time, she directed communications for the nationally renowned campaign to "Save Our Browns," the construction and opening of Cleveland's new professional football stadium and the opening of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Nancy began her professional career as a correspondent for the Lake County News-Herald.
She is a member of the Leadership Cleveland class of 2000.
